I'm an old guy, living near San Francisco. I was born in Austria and grew up in Shanghai. Long-distance running used to be my passion. Now it's digital photography and hiking. When people ask me what I like to take pictures of, my answer is "what I see". I follow world-events and am of a rather liberal stripe. Vultures in the Mix
While most of the Elephant Seals were snoozing, Turkey Vultures were having a feast. The docent at the Overlook told me that the birds were feeding on dead pups. Apparently quite a few pups don't make it to maturity ):
