I spied this insect on a little hike in a wooded area in Bad Nauheim. I tried to locate it in my Audubon Insect Guide Book but couldn't find it. Next I googled some German insect sites, but no luck. Is is a bug or is it a beetle? And do I really care? Whatever it is, I think it's beautiful and tres chic!
