What may be old hat to some, was very exciting for me. My first picture of a Bald Eagle, the national bird and symbol of the United States. Of course it is not bald, the word derives from the older meaning of "white headed".
I took the picture this afternoon on an excursion to the Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge. My companions were Sandy T (our chauffeuse extraordinaire) and Bob T.
