A woman in San Francisco had an enemy she wanted rubbed out. So she talked to a friend who, she knew, had Mafia connections. He told her that Arti, a Mafioso back East, owed him a favor and would do the job for a Dollar. The woman was overjoyed. Arti came to S. F., snuck into the man's apartment and waited. The man entered, Arty strangled him and was about to leave, when another man appeared. So Arti strangled him too.
Next day the newspaper headline read ................. ARTICHOKES, 2 FOR A DOLLAR.
