This morning, at the Ponds, I watched some Swallows sitting on a wire. After a while I realized that these were actually babies, waiting to be fed. Every bit as big as their parents, they flapped their wings and twittered (they did not tweet) for food. And sure enough, they were fed, each parent knowing exactly which offspring was theirs! In teenager-speak "wow", or "awesome"!
