Not much bird life at the McInnis Ponds this morning, so I had to look for other photo-ops. And that's where the Coccinella Septempunctata (aka Ladybug), sitting on a Wild Radish leaf, came in. I'll let you do your own research, but I will tell you that farmers love ladybugs because of their voracious appetite. In its six-week life-span a ladybug will consume 5,000 aphids. That's when we scientists say "wow"!
