Yesterday morning, at the Ponds, we saw four of the Dancing Girls, two Coyotes, a few Coots, Mallards, and some Black-crowned Night-Herons. I took a few pictures but wasn't really thrilled. Until we got back to the parking lot, that is. It was there, above us, that we spotted a White-tailed Kite doing his/her routine! Fluttering its wings, seemingly hanging in the air, an inspiring performance, really reminding of a kite! In quick succession I snapped a dozen pictures. Attached is my favorite.
