Well, this may not be the greatest photograph I have ever taken, but Black-crowned Night-Herons are not that easy to shoot. Not that they are particularly skittish, but here in Marin County they are not as common as some of the other water-fowl, and they tend to keep their distance. Anyhow, here she/he is! Note the strange reflection of her/his legs in the very shallow water. This morning in the Corte Madera Creek.
