Another Ellis Creek resident, and another bird I had never seen before. I's a Common Moorhen, also known as a Marshhen, a member of the Rail family. A group of Moorhens is collectively known as a "plump" of Moorhens. Who'da thunk! Despite the fact that Moorhens have unwebbed feet (bummer) they are fast swimmers.
