Pelican Island is located at Shorebird Vista Point, near the Corte Madera Nordstrom Department Store. The Pelicans allow a few Cormorants to rest their weary wings on the island. Or islands, because, at low tide, a second island pops up. The birds sit and preen, and preen and sit. And the next day they are all gone. I wish I knew what their game plan is. Regardless, as you can see, they are quite a sight to behold.
