No tomfoolery today.
This strange fish-like shape showed up at the Ponds a couple of weeks ago. It couldn't be a tree-trunk since there are not trees growing along the shores. I saw it used as a resting-spot by Cormorants, and they are the artists that have left the tasteful decoration on the mystery thing.
Last Monday I finally cornered an LGVSD-employee and he gave me the answer. It's an under-water pipe that has popped up and will soon be popped down again. Duh!
